Something For The Men!!

Hello and welcome to May's Jems Blog Hop. Designing cards for men is always a little harder, having to reign in all those flowers and bling!! But it can be done, often just a change of colour on a favourite design like this is all it takes.

This is a quick and simple card to make for any occasion and the Stitched Shapes Framelits give it a professional finish.

Some stamp sets shout men - Nailed It being a perfect example.

The suite with all those tools plus papers and washi tape the design possibilities are endless. I am sad to see it leaving us so soon.

Now at first glance Jar of Love is one of the floweriest (is that a word?) sets around but with the little fish and the "BEST FISHES" sentiment, perfect for anybody really.

Every now and then a stamp set and matching die set comes along that suits any gender, any occasion and is just stunning! Lift Me Up is just gorgeous! Crisp clean images and I love the font of the sentiments combined with the dies I love it!

These 2 are cased from the lovely Kylie Bertucci, and I think they are suitable for men and women, click on the photos to check out her Facebook class.

Thankfully the Lift Me Up stamps and the Up and Away thinlit dies are not retiring but they won't be available as a bundle from 1st June, so if you want 10% off you need to order them now!

We made all these cards at my last class, if you are interested in attending my next one see the events page for details.

Something Old and Something New

Well not that old, but definitely new! My Window Box die was feeling very neglected, hunkered down in the back of my die box I had used it once and while I liked the final box it had seemed really tricky to stick together. As it is carrying over to the next catalogue I thought I better master the thing. Well WOW, it goes together really well! Goodness knows what I did last time.

So my first attempt, managed to get the side panels upside down but otherwise not bad.

The second attempt has taken a few days to come together including a trip to my upline Gill to borrow this lovely bundle which is available from the beginning of June!

How cute is that?!? There are matching papers too!

Almost too good to cut up!

Anyway I digress!! Here is the second box I made, using the older Window Box die with the brand new Daisy Delight Stamp set and matching punch. I am thrilled with the outcome.

The daisy fits perfectly on the lid, let me know what you think?

Happy Stampin'
