Teacher Thank You Card - 3

Short and sweet again today! Miss Fisher loves clouds and maps so I had to delve into the retired section for the papers but the stamps and dies are still current.

I adore the crisp clean images you get with Stampin' Up Stamps and perfectly matching dies.

Happy crafting,

Teacher Thank You Cards 2

Welcome! Today is a very minimalist post as I am away, I only have my iPad and the WIFI is a bit touch and go!
This card was for the head teacher who loves flowers and actually took the longest of the 3 cards to make with all the double stamping and die cutting but I think the result is worth it 😊

Pop back next week to see the class teacher's card, she loves  maps and clouds!

Happy Stampin'

Teacher Thank You Cards 1

Hi all

My youngest is moving to secondary school in September, I was asked to make 3 cards for the teachers for all the children to sign. With 33 children in the class this called for some big cards so I thought I would share them with you.

The first card is using the Eastern Palace Suite. I started with a piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock 5.75" by 11.5" scored at 5.75" to make the base. I then layered Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide and Very Vanilla.
To make sure the dies were centred on each other I put 3 of the circular dies on to Very Vanilla, then took away the second smallest die and ran it through the Bigshot. I then used the small stamps to stamp the detail with colours to match the mats, I was surprised how easy it was and how effective it looks! The sentiment is from One Big Meaning, a must have for thank you cards.

Come back next week for a bouquet of flowers for the head teacher to keep.

Anything but a card

Hi all and welcome to August's Jems blog hop.

This is a box we made in my last class using the envelope punch board. My inspiration came from Pootle's lovely box but I changed the measurements slightly using the indispensable Box Buster  Thank you Sam and Joanne!

My box holds 4 M&S tea lights

Tranquil Tide Card Stock
6.5” square
Very Vanilla Card Stock
1 3/8” by 11” strip

Using the Tranquil Tide card make a box using the Envelope Punch Board, punch and score at 1.5” and 5” turn through 180 degrees then punch and score again at 1.5” and 5”. Then following the score lines score and punch on the 2 remaining sides. Fold and trim as shown.

Randomly stamp the long strip of Very Vanilla and cut in to 2.25” long pieces, attach to the box sides and assemble the box.
Feel free to have a go yourself!
